Emerald Cut Productions is building a small, capable creative and production team for a new generation of documentaries, live programs, podcasts and emerging-media projects.
We are looking for people who can take clear creative direction, work independently, communicate reliably and turn ideas into completed work. Some roles may support more than one project when the fit is strong.
These are startup-stage, project-based collaboration opportunities. Unless a specific written agreement states otherwise, there is no guaranteed upfront compensation. Depending on the role and project, arrangements may include portfolio credit, production credit, negotiated project fees, deferred compensation or documented backend/revenue participation. Future revenue is not guaranteed. Applicants should state their compensation expectations, and no work will begin until the parties agree in writing to the applicable terms.
Senior Producer / Production Executive
Emerald Cut Productions is seeking a highly experienced producer who can help evaluate a growing slate of original properties and move selected projects from development toward professional production, financing, partnerships and distribution.
Possible responsibilities
- Collaborate directly with the founder and executive producer on project strategy, priorities and development.
- Evaluate concepts, treatments, pitch materials, budgets, schedules and production requirements.
- Help package projects and identify appropriate talent, crews, production partners, buyers, platforms or funding relationships.
- Provide experienced leadership and assume meaningful responsibility for selected projects.
- Help establish practical paths from compelling concepts to completed, marketable productions.
Ideal background
Substantial professional film, television, documentary, radio, podcast or digital-media producing experience; strong credits; sound creative and business judgment; leadership ability; and evidence of taking projects from development through execution. Relevant industry relationships are valuable but not a substitute for demonstrated results.
Required application materials: Include a résumé, verified credits or professional profile, a current producing reel or comparable professional work samples, selected project links and a concise explanation of the value you could bring to the current slate.
Location: Remote collaboration possible; project and production needs will determine any location requirements.
Cohost / On-Air Talent
We are seeking a compelling conversational partner for relationship, life, spirituality, culture, dating and selected current social issues. One person may fit more than one program, but separate talent may be selected.
What matters
- Intelligence, articulation, curiosity and fast thinking.
- Comfort with live, largely unscripted conversation; the ability to listen closely, respond intelligently in the moment and work from a high-level show outline rather than a word-for-word script.
- A strong presence and the confidence to disagree respectfully.
- Natural interaction with callers, guests and a highly experienced host.
- Authenticity and chemistry; traditional broadcast experience is useful but not mandatory.
Audition: Selected candidates may be invited to a Zoom conversation or recorded test.
Required application materials: A current headshot or professional photograph; résumé or relevant background; demo reel, hosting sample, audio sample or links to on-camera, radio, podcast, interviewing or live-performance work; location; availability; and a brief explanation of why the project interests you.
Location: Remote audition; ongoing format and location to be determined by project.
